( Love marriages

Dabur Honey: Making food delicious #HoneyDietIsHere

Honey – the sweet ingredient is not much used in homes normally and sees only occasional use, can be used to makes food more tasty, healthy and nutritious than we all know. We all gorge on delicious food all the year round but with season changes immediately go on crash diets to make that extra layer of fat go away which we had accumulated by eating those aloo ka parathaas and the likewise delicacies. Desperation is to fit again forces many people and women to take the route of crash diets so that the earlier slim figure can be achieved. Sometimes people crave for their favourite things and then do repeat the same things without realizing that crash diets are not the answer to their worries as they do more harm than good.

Instead if all people focus on balanced healthy diet , they would be more happy and healthy. A diet can be healthy if a little bit of honey is added into the regular food intake.

1. A proper diet is brain food as it gives you full energy to help you cope up with the stress and fatigue of a full day. With regular work hours touching 11-12 hours these days, a nutritious meal is important for the body and mind to make it to work properly. Honey can be added to those boring looking parathas and rotis to make them look yummy and gulp them down in an instant.

2. People who run away from food because they are forbidden from their sweet tooth cravings can add honey to all that sweet that they love. Who said that only sugar can do the job?

3. Honey is an excellent source of energy for the body not to mention that it helps in immunity. In times of cough and cold, I have gulped down honey bottles many a times. Increased immunity would mean that you`ll live longer too. A full nutritious meal is really healthy for the body.

4. A proper meal helps in weight management as the body gets all the required nutrients in the correct quantity that the body needs. Its not as if there is an excess of one thing and the deficiency of the other .

5. A well fed body gives a glowing skin. Honey is one of the best things to have for a glowing skin. It might just help the worries of the ladies who want their skin to be glowing but then also worry about the diet to take. Its a tough job for them to have a glowing skin and then also try not to look fat. A big dilemma in itself which no no easy answers except for a nutritious meal with a bit of honey.

6. Eating fruits helps in reducing heart diseases and they can be made more tasty by a bit of honey. How about a little helping of honey on the apple slices or the bowl of fruit salad which you can munch on at anytime of the day….

A crash diet is not helpful to anyone. Crash diet entails taking very little food which in turn increases the cravings one has for food so it means that instead of a person reducing foot intake, in reality he/she is increasing that and which is also not in the quantity which the body needs to keep functioning at the optimal level. It can also wreck havoc with the metabolism rate of your body. Intead of a proper calorie intake , the body gets only a frcation of what it should normally. Crash diets are a temporary solution. They don’t take care of anything properly.

Its better to start a proper meal with a bit of honey to improve the taste if you are not ok with it but stay away from crash diets for good.

UC Browser : Where cricket goes on your fingertips, superfast

Cricket – Its more of a religion and passion here rather than being just a sport. Be it any match in India or else, someone, somewhere would be all hooked up to watch either the latest score, streaming and the related info.

Problems arise when the so called passion clashes with the normal routine of our daily lives. Life has so much to give in one single day both professionally and personally which needs to be taken care off as well but on the flip side you have cricket as well. You cant miss out on the small things life gives you but then also you don’t want to miss out on cricket otherwise wherever you are sitting , your mind would always be diverted to, “ Whats the score?” . That just might ruin the perfect setting wherever you are.

The solution to this dilemma is probably here now with the UC Browser which has a cricket service called as UC Cricket which makes sure that I am never away from the game and all the information related to cricket is at my fingertips. Not all mobile browsers are adept at fast streaming and quick loading times so the UC browser comes as a boon which uses a data compression technique which makes it easier to load and also consumes less data on my plan so that cricket viewing does not burn a hole in my pocket.

The fact that its available for all platforms of operating systems of mobiles means that I don’t have to worry if I carry a different mobile phone anyday. I would be rest assured that I wont miss a thing. The UC cricket service is really a treasure trove for cricket fanatics like me . With the upcoming schedules of all cricket matches from all around the world, I can easily pick what I want to watch or what to keep my eye on. Clicking on the particular match would take me to the updated score and ball by ball commentary. A faster browser and an even faster score updation, what more does one want?

A yellow bell type icon also serves as a reminder for my favourite matches to come. A reminder 15 minutes before the start of the match would mean that I wont miss a thing. Whether I am hanging out with my friends, working or on a date with my girlfriend, I don’t have to worry about missing cricket as I can always watch the exciting moments later on or as the time permits at that moment. Friends have an interest in sports, but not girlfriends. They want your undivided attention but my attention is already divided by cricket happenings. The UC cricket would make sure that she remains happy with the time I give her and I also don’t have to take out my phone to know the score and such repeatedly.
In the same way I share all the cricket related info with my friends while spending more time with them instead of peeping into the phone every now and then waiting for the videos to stream or the match scores to load after ages. I can also comment my views with the various other cricket lovers around the world….

UC cricket makes sure that I can spend all the time with the people who matter to me while also being connected to cricket…

Heroes: I`m coming home

I am coming home

To the mustard fields, the lane to my village, to my beloved home.

Leaving behind the icy mountains of siachen, the deserts of rajasthan, the jungles of the northeast.

I lived my passion, I served my country till the last bit of courage in me battling terrorists, extremists and the enemy.

I have stood guard 24x7 , forgoing my sleep to make sure the country sleeps in peace, giving it my all for that piece of tricolor fluttering in the wind.

I have seen civilians treat us as angels when we saved their lives, let me remain a soldier for I don’t want to be treated as god.

I have seen tears in their eyes, tears of being saved , of gratitude, emotions which could only be conveyed by eyes.

I am a soldier- on land, water and even air.

Served for peace- whether for the nation or for international peace missions.

I made lifelong friends, lifetime bonds with my comrades.. those who would live with me forever.

I express my gratitude to those who saved me during war and made me realize that I am watched over by gods during battle.

I need not fear anything, it’s the foes who would fear now.

I have shed tears over losing my comrades, I am human too.. Now I shed tears as I leave this force.

Now I am coming home.

Sitting in an arm chair in my home, I remember the wars I fought, my comrades who lived to tell the tale and those dear ones whom I paid my last respects.

Those who went missing and never have been heard till now, those who are locked up in prisons in nations far and I doubt whether I would be able to see them alive or not… I remember all.

I survived gunshot wounds, explosions and heavy enemy fire, will I be able to survive this void now?

I will miss the camaraderie I shared with my fellow comrades in the evening as I sip a cup of tea prepared by my wife.

Now I can listen to her complaints of being away from her for so long, I would love her to talk now and gorge on the dishes she prepares.

I am the same, my spirit is unchanged too... But my world has turned upside down, I miss those borders I guarded for so long.

It was tough to retire from something that you had grown used to but now my heart is filled with many emotions - leaving my comrades behind isn't easy.

I am coming home to my family now – people who have sacrificed a lot for me.

My wife who battled long periods of separation without complaints for she knew that I was fulfilling my oath to protect the nation.

My siblings who used to miss me at every celebration at home.

My parents who dreamt of seeing their son after long and prayed everyday for my safety.

My children who used to miss me at their school gatherings and yet say proudly “ My dad is a soldier” when asked why I was not there.

Now its time for me to do another duty- be near to all those who matter to me.

I watch the sun set in the distant horizon and feel it shows my life before me…setting down to come up again tomorrow.

In a few years I would be a veteran to speak with the medals on my uniform speaking a lot of unspoken words.

I don't know if I would ever be able to express myself again.

Memories keep haunting me, suddenly everything seems to be lost all of a sudden.

Something feels hollow deep inside me now but I am home, home at last.

Like I am reborn, but I would always remain a soldier at heart.

I begin my second life now, now I am home.

The story behind this - Inspired by Skylar grey`s song lyrics line “ I `m coming home”, this poem is an attempt to showcase the homecoming of the soldier after his distinguished service in the forces. Its about every soldier who has served in the Indian armed forces and is now deemed to begin his retired life after active duty.

Its our turn to say Thank You to the soldiers who have braved extreme weather conditions, long spells of separation from the family while they were protecting the country for us. Its time they return home to their families while they remember the days they spent .

This is the 1st write up written in collaboration with Ila Garg..
